The PGA Tour’s fourth and final golf major of the year is upon us!
The top golfers in the world will descend to the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in England for the Open Championship, which runs from July 20-23. The track will play as a par-71 that is 7,312 yards long.
The Open Championship was last held here in 2014, with Rory McIlroy winning that year.
The Northern Irishman has been on the brink of winning a major tournament multiple times recently and comes into this week fresh off his win at the Scottish Open.
As for gambling on the big event, we’ve got you covered with everything you need, from the odds to best bets, so let’s dive into the action.
The Favorites
Speaking of McIlroy, he is the co-favorite to win the tournament, holding +750 odds at FOX Bet. Scottie Scheffler (+750), Jon Rahm (+1100), Brooks Koepka (+1400) and Cameron Smith (+1400) round out the top five among the betting favorites.

Now that we’ve teed off with the basics, let’s approach my betting portfolio for this tournament.
“The Gimme”
Scottie Scheffler Top 10 (+100)
I’m riding with my guy Chris “The Bear” Fallica on this one. He loves Scheffler to finish in the top 10 this week and gave that pick out among his other best bets.
“He’s finished in the top 5 in seven straight and 10 of the past 12 events he’s played and has 15 top-10s in 19 events this year. He represents the best thing about golf betting: You don’t have to bet outright winners to make money,” Fallica said.
Want to hear something crazy? Scheffler hasn’t finished worse than T-12 this year. Call me a sucker, if you may, but I will continue riding on this train.
OUTRIGHT BETS TO MAKE
Brooks Koepka +1800
Collin Morikawa +3500
LONG SHOTS OUTRIGHTS
If you follow me on Twitter, you know I love betting on golf long shots. There’s just something thrilling about holding a lottery ticket deep into Sunday. It also presents you with multiple hedging opportunities if you want to eliminate some of your risks.
That being said, here are a couple of guys I’m definitely throwing some pizza money on to win it all:
Corey Conners +7000
Justin Rose +7000
Hideki Matsuyama +8000
Cameron Young +8000
